Petrouchka

Petruchka is the second opera that Stravinsky writes for Diaghilev's Ballets Russes, it is the beginning of the renewal of classical dance of the twentieth century and thus sets a new direction for much of the music of the twentieth century.rnPetruchka's concert version includes four pictures, imaginative settings taken from a storybook that come to life.

Despite the young age of the author, Diaghilev, he finds his orchestration brilliant and the management of the orchestra extraordinarily mature.

Pierre Monteaux was born in Paris on April 4, 1875 and died in Hancock on July 1, 1964. He began his career as a violinist and later became an orchestra conductor. Many works by Stravinsky directed by him including the first by Petrouchka.

Diaghilev Russian theatrical impresario founder of the Russian Ballet Company which baptized many choreographers and dancers and contributed to Stravinsky's artistic career.
